Several times while having girl chats about makeup, I find that so many of my friends don’t actually what they need to clean their brushes, and if they do, many don’t know how to deep clean them. Even if they use their brushes on a daily basis!
In this post, I’ll be taking you through my deep cleanse brush regime, with tips and tricks to guide you through! Deep cleaning your brushes isn’t as hard as it sounds, though. Think of it as washing your hair! It should not be done every day, but it is still a vital step.
If you use your brushes heavily on a daily basis, you should wash them once a week, or fortnightly. On the other hand, if you use your brushes lightly, you can stick to washing them once a month.
I find myself washing them fortnightly when I start to feel the gunk that has collected in my brushes.
This easy peasy 5-step deep cleanse brush routine will hopefully be helpful to you!
Now, all you have to do is let them towel dry overnight and voila! You’re done.
My brush deep cleansing routine is that simple. All it takes is less than half an hour (depending on the number of brushes you have – I own 15), so I strongly suggest doing it. After all, unclean brushes cause acne outbreaks, which I’m sure you’d rather avoid.
